St. Augustine is a town that is absolutely gorgeous and there is always something to do. The month of March has so many different festivals and events going on that everyone can have fun! There are three very large festivals in March from the beginning, middle, and end of the month. You will stay completely busy this month and enjoy every moment!

St. Augustine Cathedral Festival

One way our guests like to kick off the month of March is with the 35th annual Cathedral Festival! Opening day is Friday, February 28th from 5:00 P.M.- 10:30 P.M. and lasts through Sunday, March 1st from noon-9:00 P.M. This is a family-friendly event with carnival rides, local/live entertainment, and food/beverage vendors from the area. Saturday night will include a fireworks show and Sunday will have a shrimp dinner that is sure to please. This event is free for children under ten years of age and active-duty military.

10th annual Celtic Music and Heritage Festival

Once you have recovered from all of the fun and food of the Cathedral Festival prepare yourself for the 10th annual Celtic Music and Heritage Festival. This festival is three days long from the 13th of March lasting through the 15th of March. It will be held at Francis Field and admission ranges from $10.00-$50.00 depending on the day you attend and what all you would like included. Friday is a whiskey tasting and that is $50.00. Saturday is the St. Patrick’s Day parade and starts at 10:00 A.M., it is the oldest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the world! Sunday will consist of live music from the hours of 10:00 A.M. (beginning at noon) and ending at 7:00 P.M.. Take a look into the VIP tickets for the full package. This will include admission, t-shirts, two free beers or wine of your choosing, and bathrooms. Children accompanying a VIP adult are free.

 Lions Seafood Festival

Just when you think there can not be any more fun going on in our charming city the Lions Seafood Festival comes in and takes you by storm. This is the 39th annual seafood festival and it just might be the best one yet! From Friday, March 20th until Sunday, March 22nd come and enjoy an array of fresh foods. Do not let the festival name fool you though. Not only is there finger-licking good seafood available but there is also pizza and an array of Asian cuisines. There are rides for the whole family to relish in. Guests will enjoy an assortment of musical talents that will be performing live throughout the festival. It will also have an area that resembles a farmers market with handcrafted items such as pottery, arts and crafts, and handmade jewelry. For the kiddos, there will be a kids zone that includes a clown adventure and a meet and greet with The Little Mermaid herself! This event will also take place at Francis Field and unfortunately, no pets or coolers are allowed on the grounds. All proceeds from this event will benefit the St. Augustine Lions Club Charities. Admission is $5.00 for adults and children under the age of 15 are free. There will be shuttle services provided to the grounds as well.
