Halloween is right around the corner, and in St. Augustine, it is guaranteed to be a hit! There are so many events and activities coming up that will absolutely make your Halloween better than you could have ever dreamed! With everything from pumpkin patches, to the Creatures of the Night and the St. Ambrose Fall Festival, Beacher’s Lodge has put together this guide of 5 events that cannot be missed this Halloween season.
Pumpkin Patches
Pumpkin carving, or pumpkin painting, is an essential part of the Halloween season! Get in the spirit by purchasing a pumpkin from the First United Methodist church daily from 10am to 7pm. The Shores United Methodist Church pumpkin patch is also open 12pm to 7pm on the weekends, and 2 pm to 5pm during the week! Pumpkins can also be purchased at the Sykes Family Farm, Ancient City Baptist Church Fall Festival, and the St. Ambrose Fall Fair.
HOLLER-ween Fest
The HOLLER-ween fest will be held the last two weekends in October, the 18th to the 19th, and 25th to the 26th. The fest, held at the Florida Agricultural Museum will feature a haunted house, a pumpkin patch, trail rides, and more, including bounce houses, story times, and loads of refreshments.
Creatures of the Night
On October 25th, 26th and 27th, the St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park is hosting a Creatures of the Night experience! While mostly geared towards kids, this event can be fun for all ages with trick or treating, creepy insects on display, and alligator feedings for the more adventurous!
Sykes Family Farms Crop Maze
Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday until the 27th, the Sykes Family Farms Crop Maze is full of wonderful fall activities ranging from hayrides and a teeter totter to a children’s play area, a cow train, and even a cow milking station. They also have an abundance of pumpkins, sunflowers, and fresh produce!
Halloween Costume Contest
Ancient City Tours will be hosting their own Halloween costume contest on Sunday, October 28th from 2pm to 5pm! The costume contest will be held in the North St. George Street Area, with trick-or-treating available at participating shops afterwards!
