For some of us, family is everything, so why not plan a family get together and spend it in Crescent Beach? We have so much more to offer than getting a tan at the beach. If you are looking for activities that the whole family will enjoy while staying at Beacher’s Lodge, then look no further, we have you covered.
Sports and Games to Play in the Sand
The staff at Beacher’s Lodge love to watch families and friends laughing and having a blast as they play their favorite games and sports on the beach. Some of the most popular sports are football, soccer, frisbee, bocce ball and volleyball. You can fall down all day, and not worry about getting hurt too bad.
Kids of all ages love to be buried in the sand any time of year. Of course you can’t visit Crescent Beach without building at least one sand castle. We often see families turn this into a competition, which creates more giggles and smiles for the day. Please Keep in mind that during turtle season you will need to fill in any holes that have been created during your sand making adventures. We wouldn’t want to interrupt the turtle’s navigation to and from the beach for nesting.
In the evening as the day begins to wind down, we see many families collect shells and compare their finds with one another. It makes for great talking points over dinner. Some guests love spending time together grilling their favorite burgers while others would rather go out and enjoy a local restaurant. Speaking of restaurants – our restaurants are open to full capacity and masks are not required if you don’t want to wear one. So eat, drink and be merry!
Things to See and Do in Crescent Beach and the Surrounding Areas
Currently the corn maze at Sykes Family Farm is open and ready to entertain groups of all sizes. There are various levels of wandering mazes to be adventured, play areas for the kids, hayrides, pet the animals, and if you are feeling really adventurous you can milk a cow! All in the spirit of family fun!
Ghost Tours of St. Augustine
If you are ready to get spooked and hope to encounter a ghost, the ghost tours in St. Augustine’s historic district are taking groups on weekend nightly tours. Learn a little about the history and where folks have said to have seen a ghost or two during your stay.
Depending on the days of the week you are visiting our area, there are art walks and markets that display our local talent’s art, crafts and food. Enjoy a piece of the First Coast while you are here and take home a souvenir or two to remember us by.
Nights of Lights
Soon St. Augustine will be hosting their annual Nights of Lights in the historic downtown area. This is an all time family favorite. Many families love to drive up to the historic area and gaze at the lights and experience the holiday season and all its magic. Depending on the weather, many love to walk around with a cup of coffee, cider or cocoa to enhance the experience.
There’s always a ton of things to see and experience in our area. Memories are to be made with family and friends; why not make them here at your favorite lodging property in Crescent Beach.
