March 9: Minorcan Heritage Celebration The Minorcan Heritage Society presents demonstrations of mullet net making, Spanish dance performances, Minorcan foods and story-telling by Minorcan descendants. In 1777, the Minorcan people, who had worked as slaves in New Smyrna Beach, escaped their bonds and migrated to St. Augustine where they settled. 904-826-3388
