It's a new year, and with that comes a fresh start. Everyone is making resolutions for the better. Sometimes the 'better' is standing right next to you. It's a special time for St. Augustine, once again Ripley's Believe it or Not! will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the largest wedding vow renewal. So grab the special someone next to you and honor to the new year with a renewal of love and commitment. On February 10, 2013 Ripley's will host a ceremony to attempt to break the current world record held by the University of Miami with 1087 couples. Last year 700 couples from around the world crowded to the Ripley's parking lot to reaffirm their love and renew their wedding vows. Participation in the event is free! For the ceremony, participating couples will receive a free carnation, cup of biodegradable confetti to throw after the ceremony, wedding cake, and a complimentary romantic train ride down the bay front following the ceremony, there will also be a photographer to take photos of the couples! Registration for the event begins at 11:00 am and the ceremony will commence at 2:00 pm Couples must present a photo copy of their original wedding certificate as well as a photo ID.
