The winter season is one of the best times to visit St. Augustine. Though the weather may be cooling off, the festivities are sparking up. A favorite tradition for the Ancient City beginning November 19^th is the flipping of the switch to start the Nights of Lights. The entire downtown area glows brilliantly and is a definite must see, (the best view is driving over the Bridge of Lions into the city). Make sure to plan your stay at Beacher's Lodge, and enjoy the night with us. The Nights of Lights festivities last until January 31^st. The St. Augustine Ampitheater also creates its share of winter magic. Starting November 26^th, Winter Wonderland at the Ampitheater features its own ice rink, sleigh rides, snow flurries, and more. The Ampitheater festivities run through January 1^st. Festive tours and holiday magic are the highlight for the season.
