Spring into Easter
Spring is officially here, and the weather proves it here in St. Augustine! Crescent Beach has been exceptionally balmy with beautiful sun and soft white sand. As well as beautiful weather, Easter is arriving! Celebrate this special Sunday with a very special event... "A sea of people attend the Crescent Beach Baptist Church's annual Easter dawn service Sunday morning at Crescent Beach. The service typically draws thousands of worshipers to the oceanfront near the Crescent Beach ramp" - OldCity.com. The service begins at 7:00 am on April 8th. There are numerous other Easter Sunday services to...

Green for St. Patrick's Day of course! St. Augustine is celebrating its annual Celtic Music and Heritage Festival, March 10th & 11th. Starting with the St. Patrick's Day parade, all of historic downtown will be celebrating in true Celtic spirit. The Spanish Quarter opens up to music from some of the world's premier Celtic bands and acts. The Francis Field adjacent to the parking garage will feature vendors and Clan tents. Winter of Lights
The winter season is one of the best times to visit St. Augustine. Though the weather may be cooling off, the festivities are sparking up. A favorite tradition for the Ancient City beginning November 19th is the flipping of the switch to start the Nights of Lights. The entire downtown area glows brilliantly and is a definite must see, (the best view is driving over the Bridge of Lions into the city). Make sure to plan your stay at Beacher's Lodge, and enjoy the night with us. The Nights of Lights festivities last until January 31st. The St. Augustine Ampitheater also creates its share of...
Spooktacular St. Augustine
It's a spooktacular time to visit St. Augustine! Book your stay at Beacher's Lodge in time for October's Halloween festivities. Our favorite Halloween event here at Beacher's is the Sykes and Cooper Farms award winning Corn Maze. Plan a family trip to explore not only the corn maze, but also enjoy hayrides, farm animals, and home grown fresh produce. The event is running through October 30th, and is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Children under 2 get in free, while general admission is $8 per person (order in advance online for $7). The Endless Summer
Even though the summer is waning as school kicks back up in St. Johns County, the heat is reluctant to ease into the cooler fall weather. The new school year means a leaner and less crowded beach. What better way to beat the heat than to hit the water. Come relax by Beacher's beautiful pool, or get adventurous and swim in the ocean waves. Fall should be ushering in an active storm season, which will hopefully cause some surges on our beautiful Anastasia Island beaches. Translation: what better time to learn to surf! Whether you be a seasoned water master, or getting into the ocean for...
Valentine's Day on Crescent Beach
There is love in the air this Valentine's Weekend, so how about enjoying the breeze on an ocean front balcony at Beacher's Lodge. Have a romantic dinner for two on a balcony over looking the ocean. Wake up to a sunrise and sip your coffee on the balcony. Share a memory that you won't soon forget. Wine and Dine your loved one in our ocean front suite. A unique way to celebrate your Valentine, with ocean front romance. Our suites have fully equipped kitchenettes, so bring the groceries, lock the doors and keep warm with romance at Beachers' Lodge... or...
Enjoy a Cruise on the Intracoastal
If you haven't enjoyed the beauty of the intracoastal waterway in St. Augustine, well, you haven't really enjoyed St. Augustine to it's fullest. At Beacher's Lodge there are ocean front views of course, but some rooms also enjoy views of the intracoastal waterway from the bedroom. If that doesn't satisfy, perhaps consider a cruise on the Sundancer, a gorgeous yacht that cruises the intracoastal waterway. There is a cocktail cruise (usually on Wednesday Evening, boards at 4:45pm), a dinner cruise (Friday evening) and a brunch cruise (Sunday morning). The pricing is fair,...

Best Beach in St. Augustine
Crescent Beach is St. Augustine's southern most beach, about 6 miles north of Marineland. We are located 10 miles south of the bridge of Lions (the heart of the historic downtown area). There are no rocks or sharp coquina sand like you will find on other beaches in the area, just plenty of nice clean sand to walk, bike or enjoy with the kids and pets. Crescent beach is a drive on beach but traffic is separated from beach goers. Crescent Beach is also pet friendly, you just have to be a responsible pet owner and keep your pet leashed. Of all the beaches in St....
Turtle Season Begins May 1st
Turtle season begins on the beach May 1st, with Sea Turtle Washback Season July 1st - November 30th. As the turtles are now starting to nest, the washback season is when the young turtles make their way to the water. Occassionally these young sea turtles get washed back on the beach and become entangled by the seaweed. Balcony lights and interior lights must be kept to a minimum...
